Standdown - As far as I know, request to be in that specialty squad. FYI - The ODST squad is currently full. So, that one is a no go.

let me rephrase the question. What is the definition of each one? i only ask so i know which one suits me best

ODST is self-explanitory.

Demolitions is the blow shit up squad.

Recon finds the enemy locations, and any other intel.

Piolet flies us to where we need to be.

Wheelman does the same, just driving.

would recon also involve sniping?

Generally speaking, no. On the broad sense of the word, yes. But, there will be snipers in each specialty group. We don't want all the snipers in one group. If we spread them out into each group, we can make more well rounded groups.

I believe the idea for the specialty groups is to have a member of each in all the squads. One Recon, one ODST, one Driver, one Demo, one Piolet. This makes for an all around well rounded squad.

Of course, there might be an exception or 2 to that rule.
