This was supposed to be one of Pete Stacker's main stories. It technically still happened. If you look at the final version Halo 2. When the Scarab shoots down the Chief & Johnson, it also shoots down Stacker's Pelican. Plus, you do see the same downed pelican on the beach, when you get the Warthog on Outskirts. I hope you enjoy. P.S. Is the O'Brien that who died in this video, the same O'Brien from the Halo: Legends video, The Babysitter?

Oh, yeah. I love this scene. I think it would've been pretty interesting if Bungie made a bonus mission where you played as an ODST after this cutscene.
